Botanicals such as acorn cups provide the perfect finishing touch to a blackwater aquarium aquascape, adding realism, texture, and ecological function. Castle Dawn Aquatics Acorn Cups are rich in tannins and develop dense biofilm, making them highly attractive to Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp, as well as plecos, Ancistrus, and other bottom-dwelling species.

Their compact size makes them excellent micro hideaways for shrimplets and fry, while their textured surfaces encourage grazing and natural foraging behaviour. When scattered throughout leaf litter or mixed with Turkey Oak acorns, they help create a diverse and natural forest-floor appearance within biotope and blackwater aquariums.

All Castle Dawn Aquatics botanicals are organically sourced and naturally sun-dried without the use of chemicals or ethanol.
